Just a short drive north of Sydney, the Hunter Valley is well known and loved as a wine destination. The Hunter Valley is the oldest wine growing region in Australia with the first planted vines being recorded as early as the 1830’s. The region is defined by some of the most iconic names in Australian wine including McWilliam, Tyrrell, McGuigan and Tulloch as well as wineries like Brokenwood and Hungerford Hill.

The Hunter Valley climate is unique in that it has summer rainfall and a cooling breeze effect from the pacific ocean.
